That purpose is purposeless?

On Christie Watch

It’s hard to watch as a heavy-set guy

With heavy-handed ways

Tries to spin and tiptoe through a blazing minefield

(maybe of his own making – maybe not).

He can’t exactly run for buckets to put out the fires

Besides there’s no water in sight – really, none.

None at all in the hands of the human chain that wound ‘round

and ‘round and 'round Fort Lee for almost a week.

My guess is sooner or later the flat footed guy will fall flat

or slip into a political sink hole or maybe a trap door.  But even if he does

Maybe he’ll pop back up some day.  Stranger things have happened.
